Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla is a mineral composed mainly of hydrated copper silicate. Recognizable by its vibrant shades of blue and green, this stone is not only appreciated for its beauty, but it is also historically linked to ancient soldering, where it was used to solder gold. Geologically, it forms in the oxidation zone of copper deposits where water mixes with copper to create its distinct color. Chrysocolla is mainly extracted in regions such as Chile, Congo, and Russia.
