Light brown smoky quartz

Smoky quartz is characterized by its color, ranging from light brown to almost black, often transparent to translucent. This type of quartz is colored by natural radiation acting on traces of aluminum within the stone, resulting in this specific hue. It is primarily mined in Australia, Brazil, Madagascar, and the United States. Used since antiquity, its first uses in Europe date back to the Neolithic period, as stones for tools and also as ornamental talismans.
