Description

Vanadinite is a mineral composed of lead chlorovanadate, recognizable by its hexagonal crystals. This specimen includes red to brown crystals adhering to a lighter mineral matrix. Typically found in arid regions, vanadinite is frequently mined in Morocco, Arizona, and New Mexico. It forms through the alteration of lead deposits and is often associated with galena. Historically, vanadinite was discovered in the early 19th century.
