Phosphosiderite

Phosphosiderite, seen here in its raw form, is a secondary phosphate mineral primarily composed of iron hydroxide and phosphate. Its color ranges from pale pink to purple, as illustrated by this specimen. Originally discovered in the early 20th century, this stone is mainly mined in Chile but is also found in Portugal and the United States. This mineral is prized for its distinct color and is often used in jewelry as an ornamental stone.
