Description

Bull's eye is a variety of microcrystalline quartz, similar to tiger's eye, known for its reddish-brown color. This mineral is primarily composed of silicon dioxide and is distinguished by its chatoyant parallel bands. The formation process often involves the alteration of crocidolite into quartz while retaining the fibrous structure of the crocidolite, thus giving the stone its characteristic reflections. Although bull's eye is mainly mined in South Africa and Australia, it is also found in other regions of the world. This stone is valued in jewelry and decoration for its unique natural beauty.
