Raw apatite

Apatite is presented here in its raw form, exhibiting a characteristic blue-green color, although the range of hues can vary to yellow, pink, or purple depending on specific mineral inclusions. This calcium phosphate mineral, discovered in 1786, bears a name derived from the Greek "apatao" meaning deception, as it was often confused with other stones such as tourmaline or beryl. Apatite is mined in various regions including Brazil, Madagascar, Canada, and Russia.
