Amazonite

Amazonite is a mineral of the feldspar family, characterized by its bluish-green to turquoise-green color. This specimen clearly shows the integration of amazonite with other minerals such as quartz, visible in the white and gray parts. Traditionally mined in Russia and Brazil, deposits are also found in the United States and Madagascar. Historically, amazonite was used in ornaments and decorative objects as early as the Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations.
