Description

Fossilized wood, also called petrified wood, is where the original organic material has been replaced by minerals, thus preserving the wood's structure. This is a process that takes several million years, often dating from the Triassic to the Jurassic era. This wood comes from ancient forests that were buried under sediments, isolating oxygen and thus allowing mineralization. These particular stones show a palette of browns and beiges, with shades and patterns that recall the original tree rings of the wood.

This stone is sold individually and measures approximately 3 cm.
