Description

These white iridescent ammonites are cephalopod fossils dating mainly from the Jurassic period, about 200 million years ago. They come from deposits found in Madagascar. The characteristic spirals reveal the chambers once occupied by the animal. The outer surface shows iridescence caused by the fossilization of aragonites, giving the ammonite a pearly sheen. These pieces are prized for their natural beauty and rarity, often serving as collector's specimens or decorative items.
