Set of Golden Obsidian

These dangling earrings, made of golden obsidian highlighted by gold-plated silver settings and hooks, offer a modern contrast to the deep black of the obsidian. Obsidian is a natural volcanic rock known for its vitreous luster and golden reflections due to inclusions of small gas bubbles. Mined since prehistory, primarily in Mesoamerica, obsidian was used by ancient civilizations for making sharp tools and ornamental objects.
