Tourmalinated quartz

Tourmalinated quartz is a composite mineral where inclusions of black tourmaline (schorl) are found within quartz crystals. This fascinating mineral is often prized for its unique aesthetics, blending the transparency of quartz with the characteristic structure of black tourmaline filaments. Commonly mined in Africa and Brazil, this variety of quartz has been recognized for several centuries but has gained particular appreciation in jewelry and mineral collecting over recent decades.

This stone is unique in color (from white to more or less grayish transparent), in crystallization type, and its size is approximately 3 cm.
