Light smoky quartz

Smoky quartz is a natural variety of crystalline quartz, colored by natural exposure to radiation, giving it a translucent hue ranging from pale brown to almost black. This stone is often cut for jewelry and decorative items. Historically, smoky quartz was used as early as Antiquity for making jewelry and decorative objects. It is primarily mined in Australia, Brazil, Madagascar, and the United States (Colorado).
