Tiger's Eye

Tiger's eye is a shimmering mineral primarily composed of quartz and associated with asbestos fibers altered into iron oxides, giving it its characteristic golden streaks. This stone is frequently found in South Africa and Australia. Historically, it was used by the ancient Romans as a protective stone during battles. Its popularity as a jewelry gemstone increased in the 19th century, valued for its unique appearance reminiscent of a tiger's eye with its shifting reflections.
