Snowflake obsidian

Snowflake obsidian, also known as speckled obsidian, is a type of natural volcanic glass found primarily in regions with current or past volcanic activity. Its unique snowflake-like patterns are due to inclusions of cristobalite crystals. This type of obsidian was formed as a result of rapid lava cooling. It is a particularly popular rock in jewelry and decoration for its distinctive aesthetic and brilliance. The main deposits are located in North America.
