Description

Howlite is a mineral stone often used in jewelry and decoration for its distinctive marbled appearance of gray veins on a white background. Discovered in 1868 by geologist Henry How, from whom it takes its name, it mainly comes from deposits found in Canada and the United States. Although less known than other gemstones, howlite is valued for its ability to be easily dyed, making it popular for imitating other precious stones like turquoise.
