Description

Ametrine, here in the form of polished stones, is a bicolored variety of quartz characterized by its purple and yellow color zones, deriving respectively from amethyst and citrine. This stone is mainly extracted from the Anahí mine in Bolivia, discovered in the 1600s. It forms under specific geological conditions where varying temperatures allow iron ions to take on different valences, thus creating the distinct colors of amethyst and citrine within the same crystal.

This product is sold individually and measures approximately 2 cm.
