Realgar

Realgar is a mineral composed primarily of arsenic sulfide. Distinguished by its bright red to orange color, it is often associated with galena, pyrite, and other sulfides. This mineral has been historically used as a pigment and in the manufacture of fireworks. Realgar is mainly extracted in China, Peru, and the United States. Although beautiful, this stone must be handled with care due to its arsenic content.
