Raw black onyx

Black onyx, often classified as a form of agate, is characterized by its smooth appearance and distinct colored bands, although this particular specimen primarily displays a black color with some white and brown inclusions. This stone has been highly valued since antiquity, notably used in ancient Egypt and ancient Rome for the creation of jewelry and decorative objects. Onyx is mainly mined in India, Brazil, and Uruguay.
