Natural galena prism

Galena, primarily composed of lead sulfide, is recognized for its metallic luster and intense silvery-gray color. It often presents in cubic crystalline form and has been widely used throughout history for lead extraction. Historically significant, it was also used in the production of bullets and lead paint in antiquity. Notable galena deposits are found in Europe, the United States, Australia, and Madagascar.
