Cobalto-calcite, also known as pink calcite or spherocobaltite (when small spherical crystals form), is a rare mineral tinted by cobalt ions, giving it a characteristic pink to magenta red color. This captivating stone exhibits a clustered crystalline composition, emerging from its host rock. The main deposits are found in Morocco, Zambia, and Congo. Traditionally valued for its vibrant colors, cobalto-calcite is primarily extracted for its aesthetic and collectible applications.
