Malachite

Malachite is distinguished by its intense green bands, ranging from pale to dark green. This copper carbonate typically forms near copper deposits, which influences its vibrant color. An object of fascination since ancient Egypt for making jewelry and amulets, malachite also adorned Russian palaces as inlay. Primarily extracted in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Russia, and Australia, it was historically used to obtain green pigments. Our models are polished to highlight their unique natural patterns.
