Description

These polished stones represent a splendid mix of azurite and chrysocolla, two minerals often found together. Azurite, known for its deep blue color, is a copper carbonate that forms in the oxidized zones of copper deposits. Chrysocolla, on the other hand, displays blue-green hues and also belongs to the family of hydrated copper silicates. These minerals are mainly extracted in regions such as Congo, Arizona, Chile, and Russia. Historically, azurite was used by the ancient Egyptians for making blue pigments.
