Description

The nacreous and opalescent ammonite is a fossil dating from the Mesozoic era, between 240 and 65 million years ago. These varieties exhibit an iridescent appearance due to the presence of nacre that originally lined the inside of the mollusk's shell. These ammonites are often found in marine strata, and their cross-section reveals complex spiral patterns and shimmering colors. This phenomenon is the result of the fossilization of the nacre, which has retained vivid colors due to minerals such as aragonite.

This product is sold individually and has a diameter of approximately 4 cm; their hue varies depending on the fossilization.
